When The Past Rings Into The Present

Jessika was on her way home with her parents when her phone rang. It was the guy she  spent a few days with in Australia a few years ago. His name was Seth. He had kept her safe and alive while she was there. They had been followed by a serial killer on their camping trip and couldnt get in touch with the outside world. Her best friend, Katie, whom was also his little sister was murdered by the serial killer.
"Hello?" she answered.
"hey, its me... Seth..."
"oh hey...."
At first the conversation seemed awkward. They hadn't spoken to each other since she the day she left.
"So I found out exactly who the guy was that killed Katie and tried to kill us" he said as he broke the silence.
"hold on,"
"Hey, can you please pull over?" Jessika asked her parents.
Jessika's boyfriend, Richie, was beside her in the back seat. He gave her a curious look. Her parents pulled over. Jessika and Richie got out of the car and began walking down a side road.
"So who was it?" she asked.
"Our uncle. The man was psycho. He's dead now. I found his grave yesterday. It had something really strange written on it,"
"Strange?"
"A quote of his. Nothing related to Katie's death,"
"oh," she said.
"yeah so how have you been? I've been thinking about you and that night we spent together at that cabin? remember?" Seth asked in a low, husky tone.
Richie stopped walking and Jess did to, to face him. Seth had continued to talk but she wasn't really listening.
"yeah yeah, I remember. Hey I gotta go. Talk to you later. Bye!" she said as he closed her flip phone.
When she looked back up at Richie  he was smiling at her. He took the phone from her, put it in his pocket and grabbed her hands in his.
"What is it Richie?" she asked with deep concern.
He smiled and kneeled on one knee in front of her. Jessika's hands flew to her mouth as it fell open. He grabbed a small round object from his other pocket and held it out to her. It was a beautiful diamond engagement ring.
"Jess, Ive been wanting to ask you this since you came home alive. I don't know how I could ever live my life without you. Will you marry me?" Richie said.
By now tears were streaming down Jessika's face. She couldn't believe he had done all of this.
"yes, Richie. Yes!" she answered.
A smile swept across Richie's face. He slipped the ring on her finger and swoopped her into his arms. They walked back hand in hand and smiles across their faces.

Till We A'int Strangers Anymore

"Please give a hand for our guitarist and my dear friend, Richie Sambora," Jon said before he backed away from the microphone.
Jon walked off the stage and to where the equipment was, which is where I was standing. Richie walked up to the mic and began talking.
"thanks brotha, how you all doin tonight?"
The small crowd screamed. Unlike most of their shows, this was a small private event. Since there was such a small crowd, we were all allowed to interact with the band.
I stared at Richie in amazement.
"haha if you will, please welcome to the stage Miss Lorenza Ponce,"
The crowd applauded and Lorenza walked onto the stage with her violin in hand. She walked over to Richie and they hugged.

As Lorenza began to speak into the microphone I turned to Jon and began to speak to him.
"you did great Jon,"
He smiled at me.
"Thank you, are you finally gonna talk to Sambora tonight?" he asked.
I was already a friend of the band's but never met Richie. I avoided him at all times, he didn't really know that I existed. I tried to keep it that way, for the sake of both of us. I swallowed hard and looked over to Richie. If only he knew.
"I dunno," I said.
He didnt say anything and the music began to play. Richie and Lorenza did a duet of Till We A'int Strangers Anymore from their Lost Highway album. I began to cry as Richie sung. When it was Lorenza's turn to sing, Richie looked at me. He smiled, winked and pointed to me. When it was time for him to go back to the mic, he looked away and I hid behind a tree that was there for decoration. Jon laughed.
"Whats the matter?" he asked.
I didn't say anything, and fell to my knees crying. I looked back at Richie, knowing he couldn't see me and he was looking for me.
When the song was over I dried my tears and went on the stage, David had taken a break during Till We A'int Strangers Anymore and he was walking to his keyboards. I jumped between them and him.
"I'll be the keyboardist," I said with a smile.
He smiled and continued walking up to me.
"you know I'm joking," I said.
"yeah, I know you are," he said giggling as he gave me a hug.
I didn't want to let go. He was so loveable, like a big brother. Over his shoulder I saw Richie talking to Jon. A photographer took a picture of David hugging me and we let go of each other. Dave got pretty upset. I walked back off of the stage and the band did a few more songs. After their finale Richie found me backstage talking to Tico, Jon and Dave.
"hey," he said.
I put my head down and began to walk away.
"dont go," he said as he grabbed a hold of my arm.
I stopped and looked him in the eyes.
"please," he said.
He motioned for the guys to walk away and they did. It was just Richie and I standing there.
"Jon told me who you are and everything so... you dont have to tell me your name. Just, how come you avoid me?" he asked.
I said nothing and refused to look at him. Suddenly he pulled me against him and I looked at him. When I looked at him, he crashed his lips to mine. It was so passionate. I put my hands on his chest and he stopped. We looked each other in the eyes.
"its okay, don't be afraid," he said.
I smiled and tears filled my eyes. We kissed again. Afterwards he hugged me and kissed me on the forehead.

Goodbye...

Link to FULL fanfiction:

The wind got knocked out of Richie as he was hit by a flying arrow. Jon turned at the sound.
"Richie!" Jon said as he grabbed onto Richie to catch him before he fell.
Jon eased Richie down to the ground. Richie held onto the arrow in his chest. Blood began to stain his shirt and hands. Jon held Richie's other hand with a brotherly grip. Richie tried to talk and couldnt.
"shhhhhhh... you'll be okay brotha," Jon said.
I walked toward to where they were. I stepped on a stick and Jon turned around. I was in shock. Jon released Richie's hand and ran toward me. He swooped me into his arms and squeezed me. I felt him sobbing into my shoulder. I kept my eyes locked on Richie. Richie; my best friend, my love, my happiness, my husband, my soul mate. Jon finally released me and we walked over to Richie. My hands shook as I knelt beside Richie and touched his bloody  hand. His eyes were locked on me and his mouth slightly open. He began to gently hold my hand. Tears started to flow down my cheeks.
"Baby, it's going to be okay. Stay with me. You can't leave me here alone. I can't live without you," I said.
"Shhh, my sweetheart. It's okay," He whispered as he took his other hand and gently sat it against my cheek.
I put my other hand around his wrist. He caressed my cheek. I smiled. He moved the hand gently behind my head and guided me down to kiss him and I moved my hand to his cheek. The kiss was so passionate. When our lips parted I opened my eyes. He was crying too now. I put my forehead against his. His body started to relax.
Inside I was screaming, "NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!"
I clutched his hand tighter. He got me to move my head down.
"I love you," He whispered before he kissed my forehead.
"I love you too Richie," I said as it suddenly felt as if i was suffocating.
He then passed with his lips to my forehead. I then broke into a million pieces. I sat up a little to look at his face. A tear that had built up under his eye lid finally started to fall slowly down his face. I kissed it away. I then moved my hand down his chest, still holding his hand, and buried my face into his chest. Jon had already called 911, he called them while Richie was still with us after I knelt down. They still weren't here. Jon was starting to get very angry at this point. He threw his phone in anger and broke it. After about five more minutes, we heard there siren. Jon ran to where they were to lead them to us. In about two minutes they were already there and trying to get me to let go of Richie. I cried harder. I couldn't let go.
"Mrs. Sambora I understand your pain and I'm sorry for your loss. You're allowed to ride with him," a paramedic said softly as he sat a hand on my shoulder.
I held up the hand I was holding to my lips, kissed it, and gently sat it back down on his stomach. I stood up and wrapped my arms around myself. I felt so cold, like my body could no longer create its own heat. The paramedics carefully lifted Richie, put him on a stretcher, and covered him and his face with a blanket. They carried him to the ambulance. There, they slid him in the back.
"You can get in now ma'am," one of them said.
I nodded my head.
"Hey," Jon said as he walked up to me.
I turned to him.
"I'll meet you there. I'm not going to leave you alone with something like this, Richie would want me to stay with you," he said.
I nodded and looked to the ground. He opened his arms and told me to come there. I walked into them and he hugged me.
"I know it doesn't seem like it right now but everything is gonna be okay..." He said as he squeezed me tighter.
Tears started to flow again. He kissed the top of my head, let go, and walked away. I turned and got into the ambulance. The paramedics closed the doors behind me.
